Happy Memorial Day!! Today is a day to remember those in our military who have served and those who are currently serving our country. It is also a day to remember the loved ones that we have lost. I miss all of my grandparents every day. I wish that they could be here now to see Levi. I know they would all just love him. I can just hear my Mamaw Elizabeth laughing right now at the silly things that he does....oh how I loved to make her laugh. I can see my Papaw Red taking Levi down fishing and swinging with him in the porch swing. I can see my Mamaw Deloris making him goodies....and see my Papaw Sam introducing him to John Wayne like he did me. I know they are all looking down on us and watching our lives unfold, but it would have been great if he had gotten the chance to get to know them as he was growing up. I also miss my really good friend, Jeremy, today. It still doesn't seem real that he isn't in this world anymore. I still feel as though I could call and talk to him at any second. Him passing has taught me that we need to enjoy each moment with those we love because we never know just how long we have or they have in this world. I hope that I remember each day to not sweat the small things (hard to do sometimes!) and focus on those I love and who love me.
Levi turned 15 months old 5/26/10! I can't believe we have one month until he is 1 1/2 years old. We'll be celebrating birthday #2 before we know it. :( It makes me sad to see him growing so fast, but there's nothing better than seeing him discover new things and enjoying every day. Here's hoping everyone has a safe and happy Memorial Day!
